It was an unplanned visit. We were hungry and this was close and glad we did stop. Very tasty roasted meats.
The duck skin was thin, crispy and not fatty. The duck meat was moist and seasoned perfectly.
The crispy pork was also very good. The skin had spots where it was not too crispy but the majority of it was. Also seasoned to perfection.
As a bonus, the service was very good.
Excellent food on a Monday. Birthday lunch for me. Glad I ignored the bad reviews. Sure, they only have one waitress and six tables filled. That’s why service may seem slow. So we just walk up to the front and tell someone what we want. Works fine for us. Fried shrimp ball. Shrimp crepe. Cai Lan in garlic sauce. Half a Peking duck. Roast pork was bit burnt on crispy skin, so tasted bitter. Would have taken one star off for that but I’m already full.
Ok, so let me explain the sparse photos…LOL. We came after a fast. That is not the best plan, ha! We (the hubs and I) practically demolished the Roast Pork, Pork Shumai, Fried Shrimp Ball, Shrimp Spring Rolls, Kai Lan, Soup Dumplings, Pork Spare Ribs, yeah IKR!
Then I remembered to take photos when the kind lady brought our dessert of Fried Red Bean Sesame Balls and Egg Tarts.
Sauce tip: ask for lemon slices and smash them with your chili oil for some good shumai love. Enjoy! This place always gives the best burps. 😅
Self love tips: Order hot tea to sip on, your gut will thank you in the morning! ☺️
